What are the deciding differences between these two species, is there a possible synonymy?

A. jacksonii: Q = 1.25 - 1.40 (-1.42); spore length (7.0-) 7.8 - 10.0 (-12.1) µm

A. basii: “(8-) 9 - 11 (-12)(-13)(-14)” µm; Q’[?] = “1.38”

Its almost enough to separate them.

Whats funny is, Dr. Bas, for whom the former is named in honor by Guzman, likes to see at least three distinct differences to reach species status, two for variety status, one difference only gets the status of form.
So far, the "three, two, one rule", has held up against DNA testing.
I wonder what criteria Guzman uses to delineate species, variants and forms.
How is it justified to base a species on spore size alone?

Perhaps A. basii is better suited as a form of A. jacksonii?
