Don't forget about the drought we've been in. I've been hunting everyday for a week in SW FL, to no avail. The woods seem like they may be promising but the pastures are soaking up the moisture like a sponge. Thick tufts have still been "crunchy".

Liberty caps don't grow in Florida...those are either Panaleous Antillarium or Panaeolus papilionaceus var. papilionaceus.

Really, that's funny.

The Panaleous Antillarium are not active.  The Panaeolus papilionaceus var. papilionaceus can be mildly active or not active.
