External HD crapped out?

Hey all, I've got a 1 terabyte external hard drive (Fantom Drive - Green Drive) that wouldn't let me access it a few minutes ago. Now it is telling me the drive isn't formatted! The drive is only about 5 months old, and I've collected over 500 gb of movies and music on it. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I really hope my drive didn't crap out :confused:

Its not making the loud clicking sound any more, but rather very faint clicks.

Sounds like it crapping out. It sounds weird but put it in the fridge and wait for it to freeze then hook it up and quickly transfer to another hard drive. Sometimes this works.

Thanks I'll give that a shot tomorrow after I drive home. I don't have enough space on my computer to even transfer any data off atm :/. Thanks again.
