When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see, there will be an answer. let it be.
Let it be, let it be, .....

The answer is yes.
It is more important for a to have TWO guardians, than one, either M/F, M/M, or
F/F.

even if those guardians molest or abuse them?

shouldnt it be more important that children have at least one
responsible guardian, 2 would be ideal but hey, it's post Y2K so
I dont expect everyone to stay married anymore

Quote:
It is important for the child to have two role models to draw off of in order to develop a healthy attitude. It is the relativity between the two guardians (the relationship) for the child to be able to differentiate what is deemed acceptable.

so what of all the single parents that have raised their kids,
most turn out to be pretty decent people, many far better than
the ones raised by both parents, if both parents are habitual
drinking, abusive, meth monkeys... or one smokes teh PCP and
runs around naked in the yard and the other is locked up every
weekend because they're on their 5th DUI... oh yeah, needs teh
balance

Quote:
One parent is shitty, because anything that
parent feeds the kid he will eat; having one parent is kind of like mental inbreeding. You want a more diverse home life for a well
rounded person rather than a one trick pony, so to speak.

um... I'm the product of a single parent, I consider myself well
balanced, I dont have a bad temper, it takes a lot to push me
there, I'm not a chronic user of any sort of drug, and while I
have done my share of shit and gotten into some trouble, I have
no record. I'm generous, friendly, honest, trustworthy, loyal,
helpful and  courteous, I'm not even rude to people I dislike.
I'm a swell guy... I can also do anything I set my mind to, I'm
skilled with my hands in a wide range of areas, I'm intelligent,
a good speaker, capable of rational thought/logic and debate, in
fact I'm quite skilled, a real renaissance mother fucker.

mostly single parent, she had no fear of whipping my ass with a
hair brush in the middle of a crowd, stuck my tongue out in a
restaurant once, she smacked my chin, I cried, I bled, I never
stuck my tongue out again. she was married to a guy for a few
years, he became a heavy drinker and pretty abusive. he's served
the last 23 years in prison.

I dont buy into the whole '2 parents/guardians' bullshit from
the start, anyone can become a parent but not everyone should,
and often times people that should be parents cant be

so no.

People who think we shouldn't be able to adopt when the family is stable and safe need a bullet to the fucking head.

Fight for a large loving government that can take care of its people, kill our criminals, and preform the huge industrial tasks our corporate overlords refuse(wanna greenwash me some more Exon?)

Not this weak travesty that let millions starve and sucks corporate cock while failing at every turn.

Of course they should be able to. I've never read a good (or legal) excuse why they shouldn't.
