Recent studies have shown that "cannabinoid receptor agonist-induced apoptosis of human prostate cancer cells LNCaP proceeds through sustained activation of ERK1/2 leading to G1 cell cycle arrest."

M., and Mukhtar, H. (2005) Cancer Res. 65, 1635-1641).


The increased number of cannabinoid receptors in cancer cells reveals a margin in which we can use cannabinoid agonists to induce apotosis only in cancerous cells.  This is everything that chemotherapy wishes it could be.

Kinda, it can be made with a number of solvents, though, not just butane.
SWIM really wants to try this.  :smile:
