If she was able to leave she is probably alright.

The Sears I used to work at would take your picture and all your info, ban you from the store, and depending on the dollar amount stolen they would take you to court. No criminal charges were pursued unless you were caught before.

She might see herself in small-claims court. The store can usually sue you for the dollar amount stolen plus a  percentage to recoup their security expenses. But if she walked out of there they didn't press charges.

Here's a better thought, leave this criminal and let her go to jail where she belongs.

There's a lot of people that I seriously dislike but thieves are among the top in my list. I absolutely fucking hate little fuckers who steal anywhere whether it be a big chain like walmart or target or some small store. You just don't steal I don't care what it is.

Hopefully she didn't go psycho on you and tell them you make her steal stuff or you hit her or something.  She sounds a lil crazy, and if they're a lil crazy on the surface, deep down inside they're REALLY crazy.

Either way, I would probably avoid that Target for at least a year.

they have remote control cameras operated by a joystick which can read name tags from across the store... Each register has a POS (point of service) which monitors all transactions... plain clothed security monitor the store for nething out of the ordinary and watch from the remote cameras... not the place to steal from. but hes right, once your off their property you cant be held unless by the police.

How about this one:  Do you think the woman who came and told you to leave the store hadn't previously discussed this move with your girlfriend?  Do you think, perhaps, that your girlfriend left the "interrogation room", saw taht you weren't there, got pissed, got into her car, and left?  And has been avoiding your calls ever since due to the fact that she thinks you left her?
