Anyone ever been caught stealing from target?

my girlfriend and i went in to target today and she stole less than normal, but it was..

40 dollar headphones, which she took out of the package.
2 pairs of underwear
chapstick
this plant thingy
makeup stuff i have no idea what it's called
and a belt


You don't have to read all that i just want to know how much trouble she's probably in.

i would say all that added up to abuot 60-70 dollars.. well some guy stopped us as we are walking out and he tells me i HAVE to wait outside i cant wait in there with her so im sitting outside with 40 dollar headphones i had taken too for about 30 mins, then this cute employee comes out and tells me i should leave because they saw me put them in my pockets so i go wait like 20 feet from my gf's car on a bench, waiting for her to txt back saying whatsup, but the next thing i know she's driving off and she would'nt answer me all my friends are drunk so no rides back home and i had to walk 6 miles and still no answer it's been over two hours . :sad:

it doesn't matter where you steal from, what she stole in some states could be considered more than simple petty theft, and could be serious.  look up your state statutes

if she drove away she wasn't arrested, and if she wasn't arrested they probably didn't file charges.

there's no way to be certain, but maybe they just scared the hell out of her.

hopefully hey didn't do something stupid like try to strip search her.

Wow that sucks she left you bud...

I'd keep calling her ass waiting for her to pick up, if she drove away she obvious can answer your phone call.

She probably got questioned and threatened and now is paranoid and avoiding everyone, including you because you were there.

this girl and i text 24/7 so she's not the kind of girl to just not text me about it, i swear she had her phone in the store, and she didn't text me when she left, she looked like she was alone in her car .. i don't even know what to think i'm just worried about her.

i've always hated stealing but to her getting free stuff makes her happy and not many things can do that so i let her steal, and influence me into stealing as well, i'm such a pussy about it though lol

i used to work at target, you will usually be cuffed and held by security if caught red-handed. their store policy is to never pursue a thief out of the store so you could hypothetically book it.

i was "banned" from target since several years ago.

i went there near closing, needing to return a Xmas gift in order to score bud.  there was nobody at the customer service desk so i reached across and grabbed the PA.  i said "hey there uh customer service paging customer service.  customer service to customer service, thank you."  1st came security who was extremely angry with me like i had come there purposefully to mess with the good people of target.  i explained i just needed someone to take my return.  someone came and did it with a real begrudging attitude, but the security guy stayed and afterward he asked me to leave and never come back.
