CFM on ultrasonic ....

So Im trying to figure out the output of my ultrasonic so I can figure out how many times it exchanges the air out of my greenhouse for the amount of time I have it set. I cant find the info anywhere though, its a walgreens ultrasonic made by sunbeam and theres no info on walgreens website or sunbeams, nor can I find any online users manual for any of them .. period.

I was guessing the out put is around 50 cfm, but this is soley from visual observation of the ultrasonics output as it enters the greenhouse and taking into consideration low powered PC fans at 60 or 80 CFM.


So .... #1 - any of you have any idea how to figure it out? Anyone happen to know the CFM output of their ultrasonic, no matter what brand it is (Im assuming they are all pretty close to the same output)

#2 - When considering the output of most ultrasonics you have used ... do you think Im close with the 50 CFM output guess??


I have my ultrasonic set to run 1.5 minutes every 10 minutes. So it comes on 5 times per hour.

From my calculations, even if its only 10 cfm that still exchanges the air out completely 3.9 x per hour .. so almost four full air exchanges per hour. Of course if it was 50 cfm that would be that much more ...

Any thoughts? I sure cant think its less then 10 cfm??

your ultrasonic will be rated in liters/hr

your fan will be rated in cfm

your fan should move 2-3 times the volume of your FC per hour

how large is the ceramic plate from the ultrasonic? and how many watts does it draw?
