Here is my first attempt at ultrasonic humidifier for my greenhouse (30 sq ft floor area) . Two single 24 volt DC ultrasonics with homemade Styrofoam floats, two round air stones with air pump (120 volt ac) and 24 volt DC 3" 135 cfm marine bilge pump. the 24 v dc's run off an ac/dc converter

I am running it right now, I started out with one ultrasonic, then added a second. I bought 20 individual ultras on ebay for additional and backup in case of failure's.

Just remember, adequate FAE is more important than having a high RH....

I am planning on running fan intake PVC duct from outside the greenhouse to bring in FAE. I am wondering if I should cycle both the ultrasonics and the fan on a timer based on RH or leave the fan running 24/7 and just cycle the ultrasonics as needed for correct RH

Don't, just poke holes in the GH, or cut slits, and let there be passive FAE.....it will work out better in the end....a fan could possibly dry everything out.
You want constant evaporation off the substrates, which will automatically mean high RH.....

Dial your device into your environment until a humidity reader reads constantly between 90-99% having to only cycle the running of your humidity device as shortly as possible. With the addition of a fan, your humidity device would need to cycle a little more often for longer intravels.
I'd also program a fan onto a timer to come on and passively blow air set to low for 15 minutes every two hours.

What about the air pump, should this be outside the GH and how much FAE will be brought in through the air bubbles of the two air stones submerged in the water if the pump is outside gh (with the fan blowing over the bubbles)
