I thought they were all addicted to heroin, but she just snorted it instead of shooting it.

Yeah
Needles are jabbed into the lungs and heart more often than you would think

I was thoroughly disgusted by the things I had to learn how to do in nursing school. Nurses aren't supposed to do stuff like that but they still told us the basic principles like what situations would call for that kind of procedure.

My sister in law is in nursing and once saw an adrenaline shot being administered and apparently it is just as terrifying in real life. I honestly thought the level of force they show as being excessive but its necessary. Heart being one of the densest strongest muscles in your body and all that jazz.

Oh yah....and "Ya know what they call a 1/4 lber with cheese in France?.....a Royale with cheese."

Well a person would probably rather have a beating heart with a small hole in it as opposed to being dead.

And most needles don't make that large of a hole...

I remember that happening in Pulp Fiction but not Requiem.

But yeah I just did some reading, looks like Marion was a coke addict but there were also some scenes where she did heroin with Harry too.

Yeah...but they aren't really that big of a deal.
You just have this tube in your throat that allows you to breath if your airway is blocked

But there are two different types.

The ones done in the emergency situations are a little more dramatic/intense but more often than not they're done in the Operating Room

Also, you have to remember, its ER, they play everything up

Like the MRI machines on House?

Every MRI machine I have ever seen or been in is LOUD, microphones are uses...and they are a lot smaller.

TV changes things ha

I don't think they would ever use an adrenaline shot on an ODing opiate user.  THey would use naloxone.  It is the opiate OD cure!  Check out the oding scene in trainspotting where renton pops right up after oding and then getting a shot of naloxone.  Naloxone should be availble over the counter to opiate users...it would save lives.

That scene in the movie was just for dramatic effect.

Also, to whomever said "why would they snort h not shoot it"...you can snort, smoke, pop and shoot H.  It is effective each way...just with differing rushes, etc.

In requiem, they are mostly doing H...the pupils dilating is a mistake, they should be contracting.  Though, I think the point of the movie is that the powder is just supposed to be "drug" and not anything specific and how doing anything to excess will fuck you up.

Anybody remember what T-shirt was given to Vincent Vega from Jimmie, after Jimmie hosed all the blood of Vincent Vega and Jules?
