Nope, 7 fresh is approximately .7 dry.

Many people can't trip off of a half 8th...tripping off a fifth of an 8th is highly unlikley.

wha? half an eighth is 1.7 grams, this should make most people trip at least a level 1 or a weak 2. nothing crazy, but lots of CEV and mild OEV, maybe slight ripples on the walls, rainbow colors in the water, animated scinery, patterns in the wood, etc. no melting or morphing though

Well, as you said, 1.75g is generally a threshold experience, I know a lot of people who barely feel anything on a dose that low. Less than half of that, and I doubt you'll hit a level 1..
