I totally agree with 5
I masturbate pretty much once a day, but there have been times when I was unable to and didn't for weeks. During those times I didn't notice any difference whatsoever.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong but I've read that masturbation decreases one's chances of testicular cancer along with a few other benefits.

I pretty much agree with #5

The only complaint I have about looking at porn is that my imagination sucks now, I used to imagine really hot scenes in my head and now I am really bad at it.

I fail to see how BBW or scat porn is any "worse" for you than old-fashioned hardcore.

Porn leads to objectification of women, weakening of moral standards, low energy, and inability to hold normal social relationships.

Just look at Ted Bundy.

It all depends on what kind of porn you watch. Child porn, fuck no that aint healthy, and you take part in a moral crime.

Horse porn? If the horse likes it and the girl (or guy) likes it I see no objections.

Furry and anime porn? Sure, knock yourself out.

Porn becomes a problem when it leads you away from sexual fantasies that can be made to come true Safely, Sanely and Consensually (SSC).

If you go too deep into a fetish, theres the risk that "normal"sex loses your interest, and that may set you up for frustration and loneliness in the long run.

Quote:
I think porn does the same thing to your sexual imagination that television does to your non-sexual imagination.

It turns your brain to mush because you become really passive.

I agree, it can work like that. I feel imagination ALWAYS is better than porn because it is creative rather than passively consumptive.

I like tasteful nude photography (nude artbooks) often a lot better than actual porn. Porn often looks cheap and leaves little to the imagination.

The point there is that you were unable to do so. You WILL feel better if you empower yourself to resist the urge.

To anon5 and those who agree with him, If you were less closed minded and short sighted, you would be able to see the subtle effects of viewing porn. The gratification feels great, the big obvious effect. But, the subtle action on your mind by way of your eyes, brain, and dick is the the unhealthy part.
If you feel restless without cumming, then I think you have a problem. I know I have a problem. Most would say I don't. Perhaps those who feel they might have a problem are lucky enough to have a warning system in place. Heed that warning. It gets more and more difficult to break the pattern once it sets in. Add up all the time you spent viewing porn.
It has been theorized that it takes 10000 hours within a decade to master or be a true success at anything.
Well, what do you have to show for after you have spent a mere 3 hours(not necessarily in one sitting) looking at porn.
What about 5,000 hours? 10000 hours? What have you accomplished? I suppose you could be extremely 'versed' in the porn industry, but really you have accomplished exactly the same thing time and time again. In the mean time, you have put aside something that could be relevant to a successful life. Give it up. I am...even if it takes 10000 hours to be successful at giving up. No matter, thats 10000 hours devoted to success. (by the way, I think that 10000 is relatively arbitrary, and shouldn't be taken literal.)

Masturbation lowers testosterone levels in the body, and raises estrogen.

That's why many athletes are told to not have sex the day before/of an event.
