Are any of you into radio control r/c?

I'm a nitro r/c guy. I own 4 nitro truck and 1 car. It's almost summer time now so I can finally start racing my car again. Just put a new set of tires on it.

It's an :awebig: hobby!

Any others interested in this hobby?

Iv always wanted to try drive one of those proper r/c cars,

I only fly r/c airplanes similar nitro engines on them, its a kool hobby but a bitch when they crash :crankey:  . . . . its only happened once though, a few years ago

heres what it looked like before

here it is after the battery died and it took a vertical nosedive at full throttle, from the wing forwards was completely fragmented and the engine was dug about 15cm into the ground

there was a little RC club that used to fly those little planes and
run the R/C cars out behind the waffle house I worked at, it was
pretty cool because it was a go cart track and they'd get pretty
crazy with the cars, one of the funny things was when the guys had
the planes one crashed into the lake, somewhere right around the
middle, he started to swim after it but apparently it wasnt buoyant
enough and it sank, the dumbass threw a tantrum and pitched his
remote in after it

:lol: yeah the hobby does attract alot of angry men with too much testosterone,

everyone was really skeptical of me at first when i joined the flying club im still in, they are mainly middle aged balding men and then this young hippy/krusty type arrives. i met alot of kool people people through it though, its good to be part of

Just got done tearing up some grass and mud with my newest truck :

My other 2 trucks aren't at my house right now, I left them at the country house cause I was working on them and didn't feel like bringing them back here in pieces. It's amazing to run them down there, I made jumps and shit behind the house and I water it to make it extra dirty. Fun times!

When I was younger my dad and I built a jet powered turbine RC jet, it flew over 200mph. It's in Windsor Ontario though, that's where his parents live. I told him to bring it the fuck back here I wanna fly it again cause it's been like 2 years I haven't flown it.

I was SO close to buying a nitro heli last night. Instead of $4000 it was on sale for $3500. SO close to buying it and now I regret not buying it cause it's fucking sold!

R/C is fun if you have the $$$ to support the hobby.

This makes me want to bust out the mini-z and mini-t. I used to use them in the military out of boredom but I now I think at least my cat and my brother's dog would get a kick out of them.

i got out of Rc cars about the time that pre assembled cars were hitting the market. That's not why though, i busted a shock tower and said fuck it.  It was like the 5th shock tower that week.

I still have a RC10 B3, with Tempest speed control, Airtronics FM controller/receiver. with bearings and graphite most everything. In addition, a 10 turn modified. I ran out of money to put into it, but i'm waiting for an opportunity to get back into it.

You should take out the Mini T and put the mamba brushless motor + a good lipo pack in it and it'll do 60mph easy

put an airscoop on the air intake, you could also try putting gunpowder in the fuel but i really have no idea what that would do
