Sailing Stones! Racetrack Playa.

In the state of California there lies a desert where stones mysteriously move on their own.

The cause for this has been theorized to have been caused by compressed winds, moving ice sheets, and even a "The Tristan Effect" that states that air within the porous matrix of the rocks compresses during the sub-zero nights and when the air expands under the intense heat of the desert sun the escaping air causes the forward propulsion of the rocks.

Some of the stones moved weigh over 700lbs...
