It's from my second flush. I love how BIG the cap is for a PE fruit. It was loaded with spores to boot. (You can see them). Usually the gills on PE are a flesh like color. It was some 60 grams wet. My tiny scale can't weigh these monsters correctly. Most certainly not my largest PE fruit, but one of the best lookers for sure. He was as solid as an oak tree to boot.

I cloned a fruit from my first multi-spore grow. Now I use it for all my grows. I don't really print caps that often. Even though these are spore covered they still don't print well. These spores aren't as heavily covered as normal mushrooms. It's much better for swabs.

I had a larger fruit to clone off my first grow. It was 80 grams wet, but I didn't clone (time constraints) however that fruit wasn't a heavy spore producer. So I cloned it's "smaller" brother (60 grams) that had a heavy spore load. Now something like 40 to 60 percent of what I grow is a "heavy" spore producer (heavy for a PE fruit).

Also the veil tore real early. (Maybe like a week ago. This is a two week old fruit (or damn close to it). Originally the cap looked like one of those uncut PE fruits. Any time I see a cap like that I jump for joy because 9 time out of 10 that fruit will grow into a monster. I just wait for the caps to pop open like an umbrella and then I pick.

Like I said this fruit isn't out of the ordinary for me. I grow shit this big all the time now. At the very least I'll get one of those each flush. Usually more more. I've had a tub where my smallest mushrooms were in the 30-50 range wet and the bigger guys were all in the 60-80 range. Now that was a nice haul.

The first two are how that grizzly cock monster looks 75-80% dry.

The last pic is of it's fellow brothers at 75-80% dry. Right now it's looking like I'll have a 1/2 Oz dry off of 4 mushrooms (one isn't in the picture). Not bad for 4 shrooms.

They don't print well. They do have a heavy spore load for a PE fruit of that size and shape. Most printable PE fruits have thin stems and big caps like a normal mushroom. Mine have fat caps with huge stems or tiny caps with huge stems.  Maybe one of these days I'll give out swabs. Even thought spores are legal I'm not too comfortable handing them out. Considering I have a good idea what will be done with them.  In a years time or so I'll be taking a professional exam. So I'd like to have as little potental legal problems as possible.

well the wierd thing is, you picked it before it mutated. The end of the stem towards the cap will get very thin.. while below it gets very thick. Then the caps blue. That fruit still had 3-5 days to grow. One guy had 200-300 gram PEs.. ive seen on here. Those were large. what you have is average.

Actually it does have rippling on the top of the stem and it's pretty uniform. At most that guy had a day maybe 2 more of grow. PE is all I grow im pretty sure i know when to pick them by now 

I also think you're quoting those PE picking pics I posted since your advise soulds just like what I posted...
In any case I wanted it dry by today so that's why I may of may not have picked it early. I personally think I picked it at the right time. The cap was flattening out and the spores were becoming visable on the gills. at most 1-2 rays max is what I would have done. It also hadnt grown in 24 hours and started to develop a sad looking droop.

I also wouldn't call a 60 g fruit average. If you said  a 20-30 g fruit (for PE) was average I'd say okay. Once you start getting over the 50 g range your talking about a big fucking fruit. Like I said this wasn't my largest. It was just one fruit I picked out of my second flush. I've grown tons of big fruits. Hell 4 of my fruits made a 1/2 O.

What kind of genetics is that thing from? I mean, is it from clone myc or swab MS or what...

Reason I ask is I got quite a few fruits recently with similar characteristics from a Sporeworks lot E-2 MS syringe....

My avatar is a 50g fruit MUCH like that one, and then some of my cakes had that really 'proportionate' cap...
