I thought the line up was kinda weak this year. I love WSP and Steve Kimmock, but other than that it fell on it's face, imo.

I already bought my ticket and parking reservation for Northwoods campground. There is still a third round of artists to be announced. I was a little dissapointed with the lineup so far... But I still can't wait. Especially since it's only a 160 mile drive for me. Instead of the 640 mile trip to Rothbury...which I still might do. Festival season FTW! :dancer:

btw, those steve kimock band w/ melvin seals late night shows at hampton were the heat

oftentimes kimock can get way too spacey - well, it's still cool, but hard to groove to, esp at 4am - but melvin kept throwing him back into these cool late-70s-jgb-esque soulful grooves whenever that happened

i was just remarking this morning how i dont really enjoy kimock that much
hes ultra talented

but that does not really make him entertaining
to me that is



i love his ultra spacy style
tho at times it is more than pored on

a lot of people are in that same boat. i'd really recommend listening to those two hampton shows i just posted above, i think melvin is a solid touch to have in his band, and helps with that far too spaciness.

i just recently started getting into SK's own music - saw him a bunch of times when he sat in for Mark Karan with Ratdog in 2007 and he has quickly since become my favorite living guitarist

I love 10KLF.  It's a decent lineup this year but I don't know if I'll make it.  I went the last four years though.

I'm downloading that Kimmock show right now.  Melvin Seals is the shit.
