Can weed make a healthy person schizo?

Something I wonder a lot when I get lsd flashbacks from weed. Could it really make someone lose their mind? Or maybe only while high?

I sometimes feel like I woukd lose my consciousness if I would smoke a bit more than I do already.

thoughts?

Esp when you're stoned,the more you think you are losing your mind,the more likely it could happen.

Bad thoughts about craziness can lead you to even worse thoughts about it.

It can start as a creeping suspicion(weird thought surfaces from nowhere). "Shit,maybe this weed is effecting me".

You get high again. The same thought pops up. You start to get worried. Endless cycle of badness could eventually lead to a psychotic state.
This is an extreme case but not that rare nowadays with all the potent weed going around.

After all,never in all of history has weed been as strong as it is now.

yea if you done fucked with something before hand normally no if you want to smoke weed your best bet is too not smoke it for at least a season maybe longer *cough* acidhead *cough*

usually i find drugs like that make you not want to smoke weed but in any case if you be rational its one or the other

I will only say this in anonymous. But I personally think, maybe. Not if its done once in awhile. But if its done all day everyday, like most pot smokers tend to do, it probably can make someone a little bit schizo. Its probably not all that good for the brain to partake in a hallucinogenic all day everyday.

someone correct me if i'm wrong
but i always thought schizophrenia was a neurodegenerative disorder, where in severe cases there is visible brain damage seen.
i think weed can speed up the process of development of schizophrenia in those prone to it, especially with frequent smoking
but as far as weed causing schizophrenia as in 6-Hydroxydopamine causing Alzeheimer's for example, there is no evidence of this

all in all however if you are smoking constantly expect a disasociation from reality to some extent

i am by no means an expert, this is just how i understand things with my current grasp of science
if someone who knows better than i can confirm what ive said or has better info than i please tell me about it

i think what im trying to say is if you are past the prime ages wherein schizophrenia develops, have no family history of the disorder, haven't had any psychotic outbreaks as of yet

the chances are slim that you will develop it, even if you smoke weed
although that is no gaurantee, but chances are very small

this is my understanding because i used to worry about this shit
this is how i rationalize

if cannabis caused schizo in otherwise healthy people, we would expect to see an increase in schizo admissions proportional to that of the increase in cannabis use in a population, the same way we would expect to see an increase in cancer when there is an increase in tobacco usage.

This is not the case, as schizo incidence remains (And has remained since the data began being gathered) around 1% of the population.

I do agree tho that thinkin you're going insane when really baked can make it seem like you really are, but you're not.

ok i was saying that because it seemed like the question one would ask but anyway i got the crazy's  but the thing was it wasn't normal/it was double stacked but probably shit in any case it might have not even been, but whatever the point was i had a perfectly NORMAL trip but either all the smoking i did the shrooms i did before could have just been what i needed to go over the edge or at least "remember goin over the edge" after i smoked more weed shrooms and sally

now if you aren't schitzo i'd say no, but if you are and you dont care smoking weed will make it better and will make your life more "off" in the end from what i can say you DO NOT want to do any hallucenigenics AND weed is one of them that may not jump out at you but will make the possibilities of going back to normle more and more less likely

Ive talked to someone who had bad e stopped smoking for a year and said he was OK after that but i took the other route and found not that i wasn't OK but the quality of life itself was "off"

whatever you think you know you dont I know plenty of people with expanded minds and not one of em' is schitzo....

now what im getting at is while i did all the heavy stuff in a  moderatly short time, under a year in fact me smoking weed kept "that" going all the way until i quite im done now but i think positive

case in point there are things people won't acknowledge and things you'd feel better off without, i dont feel episodic but when you here it from someone else its quite demeaning safe to say ive only told a few people of the events but they weren't sunshine and happiness for the most part it was 'something' telling me to stop what i was doing

what i can not tell you but in all its representations it was there

id call it the holy ghost

i be a sinner indeed

In my opinion, not really, no.

For whatever reason, weed seems to be a very base level drug. What I mean by this is that I can get extremely high, next day I'm totally normal. The day after an LSD trip, I'm sitting there contemplating everything.

IMO weed just doesn't cause radically altered thinking that would literally make you crazy.
