It's good that you realise this. All too often, I run into ugly people who think they're beautiful, and it's quite annoying.

I never was good looking until I hit about 18.

Then something weird happened. I noticed it was getting easier and easier to get girls. I looked in the mirror one day and said "Damn. That scrawny kid became a fucking ladykiller."

It was a good moment. Sorry if this sounds cocky. I'm really a modest person.

I feel ya OP. I am on the lower end of attractiveness for what I call my "bracket". See, I come from middle class suburbia, have a college degree, I exercise, have a good job, and good hygiene. I usually associate w/those types of people, ie, people who are intellegent, are hygienic, and take care of themselves... and I want women who are that type. Those types of girls tend to be attractive, or at least know how to make themselves look attractive w/ style and makeup and all that stuff. Its hard to pick up even the average attractive girl in this group b/c she's always looking for that trade up (looks wise) on the male side, just like i am looking for that upgrade in hotness on the female side.

When I take a walk downtown on my lunch break, I see A LOT of REALLY ugly people out there. with fat guts and tweetybird sweatshirts talking like 8 yr olds to each other. Makes me realize that, overall, I am not ugly when compared to the broader population.

When I got to college, I grew my hair out and put on a decent looking beard (not those scraggily ass looking ones), and I've been asked out by several cute looking girls since then.

Its amazing what staying positive, eating healthy, working out, can do for you.

And, as always, the key ingredient is self-confidence.

I was a pretty fuggly kid.

I need to lose twenty pounds though, and dress better.

It's amazing how much better decent clothes can make you look.

I'll stick with my sweatshirt and pants dress code. that is what I have been wearing all my life since high school up till now

I used to say the same thing.

Then I got a job where I had to dress nice.

It grew on me pretty fast...

I find that I feel better and more confident when I wear nicer clothes.

Plus, women pay attention to shit like the types of shoes you wear. They like to see guys wear nice, clean, dress shoes. My opinion is that shoes are the most important article of clothing you where all day, so I dont mind spending good money on a nice pair of comfortable, stylish shoes. and I often get complements from women on my shoes. lol, they're so obsessed with shoes.
