Theres nothing cliche about the Doors, but their music did sorta suck. But it's mesmerizing.

what Jim was doing in relations to the TIME IN LIFE he was doing it in........... He was far beyond his time.  Sure, if you want to dissect his music in relations to this day in age, he may be "Cliche".  The Doors are fucking amazing if you put it in perspective to the time in life they performed.
