A micro distillery?

Maybe the laws are different in Canada, but distilling in the US is illegal unless you're a big liquor company.

Are you sure you aren't thinking of microbrewery?

I looked on my provinces liquor license page and it say:

Distiller's Licence
Where 75,000 litres of liquor or less are manufactured per year 100.00
Where more than 75,000 litres of liquor are manufactured per year 2,500.00

Holy crap, thats quite a jump in the fee.

75k liters is quite a bit of booze.

Figure in the tax per liter on top of that, don't forget about the taxes...

Home brewery and wine-making are legal. Home distillation is not.
