I am addicted to loud music

I love blasting good IDM or indie type music but after a while my ears start to hurt and I sometimes get ringing. Is the only option to help my ears, to listen to music lower? Are there any ear remedies or is lower music the only option? :bigblunt:

I'm pretty sure the sensation your experiencing is due to the type of music you listen to. Your body is trying to reject the sound, it doesn't wanna listen to shitty music, but through a tragic misleading of our youth it has still managed to penetrate your ear canal and rape your brain

i think everyone will agree b/c it's obviously a scientific fact as shown by the OP. The point is, it doesn't really matter what you listen to, although if it were some good fuckin metal you wouldn't have ever complained b/c it's so worth the pain

Fuck Death Metal!  IDM is like ambient electronic music. Great music for thinking or being high. My ears hurt from watching a tv show with too high a volume too.  I don't listen to any shitty angsty whiny or mainstream music. Fuck that!

death metal is not good fuckin metal... it's garbage and if your going to listen to downbeat it's almost always more enjoyable to hear dubstep, not the mainstream bull, but the slower, moodier shit. It has more feel than just pads and an electronic drum set. besides, how do you make ambient music too loud?

It's not always ambient, and there are a lot of fast /loud beat type idm type bands- but it usually has a spacey trippy- feel to it?

IDM isn't fucking ambient. It's bands like amon tobin and killamanjaro darkjazz ensemble. They sound good but they suck.
