Newsflash! ---->  Keeping time is not the same thing as knowing what is going to happen in the future. 

Egyptians were very adept at astronomy and building.  Does this mean that Ra, Seth, and all of their gods exist?  And do you really think that the Mayans time-keeping and astronomy is on par with ours?  We have fucking atomic clocks and powerful telescopes that see into deep space.  For the love of God, you hippies are morons.

You (and others) seem to be implying that just because the Mayans were technologically and scientifically knowledgable in certain areas that this somehow makes them right about everything and grants any whacko prophecies that religious figures in their society put out with major legitimacy.  It's like saying that because modern day scientists have come up with some cool things that modern day Christians must be right in their whacky prophecies.  That is idiocy and a blatant logical fallacy.
