Well, it is 'weird' in the sense that it's not normal--in the sense that most men don't have that kind of self-control.

However, it's also generally a good idea. A good way of building energy but not depleting it. And it also teaches you how to apply the same self-control in more a more intense setting (Like inside a vagina.) which will certainly pay off in spades. (If you get laid anyway.)
