acute depression - fixes

i feel amazing for about 4-5 days a week, but theres always a few days where i'm feeling extremely sad, and depressed.  i dont feel like getting out of bed and everything feels like it isn't worth doing.
other days i feel amazing, am full of energy and i'm extremely happy.

does anyone have an idea of how i could fix this?  or any ideas on why i might be feeling this way?  i do not change anything as far as diet or exercise on these days.

Sounds like mild to moderate bi-polar, quasi-rapid cycling. Sucks. Avoid dissociatives.

sometimes it can even be a month of feeling great, but the i end up feeling really horrible for 2-3 weeks :frown:

i sure hope it isn't bi-polar, it isnt extreme depression on the bad days, just mild or medium..  and usually by the end of the day its gone if i'm with people who manage to make me feel better

me too, doctor gave me prozack.

IMO, only go to a doctor for medication if it's a real problem. Also, avoid tripping during bad periods for sure.

Regular exercise helps more than any antidepressant.  Try running for about 30 mins every other day.

i usually get regular exercise...  still i get it.  i even eat well.

I agree with the exercise being great. I have never felt better than when I was exercising. I have got pretty down lately and can't seem to get the energy to start again. I hated antidepressants they only made things worse for me but I have known people that it helped. I think in your situation they could level you out.


Anyway good luck and if you figure out something that works let us know.

don't try prozac if you have manic periods.  other then that go talk to a doctor.  psych meds help a lot of people.  take them if you need to.
