Just saw Rules of Attraction

Overall, the film is a failure. It's intention was merely to shock, most of the threads are never tied up at the end.

I did enjoy the scene with the kid shooting smack into his foot while watching _The Cabinent of Dr. Caligari_, and the professor receiving a BJ from one of his students while the grand march from Verde's Aida plays in the background.

The lead character masturbates to _Afternoon Delight_, and that is of course pretty funny. He also consumes somes cubes, is subsequently unable to climax while screwing the roommate of the girl he is in love with, and then attempts to hang himself in his dorm. This character is far too shallow and selfish to contemplate and much less attempt suicide, but that fits since this is a shallow film. Too bad, it really had some serious potential.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone else who has seen it.

I really enjoyed the cinemetography of this film and the way it was put together but ya, it was really lacking in everything else basically.
