All my fruits are turning out like this. Yes, I dunked and rolled after birthing. The temp and humidity must be fine, because I have koh samui cakes and an A strain tray in there and they are doing awesome.




Im done fucking with cakes after this. WBS to coir all the way. Is there a reason for this? I mean these cakes are the only ones it has happened to, so there has to be SOMETHING.

Lol, honestly I think they are cute too, I just wish they'd be bigger.

They are potent enough. I ate a gram or so of them and was body buzzing all over the place...I just wish there were MORE of them ya know? Haha. 4 cakes only got me about an 8th dry. I've got plenty from my A strain tray, so I'm being greedy I guess.

I just finished with some creepers on brf cakes. It produced some monsters and it is definitely one of my favorite strains I loved it awesome trip to it too.

You guys need more lighting and substrate moisture.  When they open early and small, it means they've ran out of moisture, and when the caps are small like that, they need more light.  Use fluorescent tubes or light from a bright window.

I agree totally. However, this forum isn't for the experienced growers, because they already know the ropes.  It's for the new growers who are just starting out.  Sometimes the hardest part about learning something new is un-learning bad info.  That's why I tend to correct people for calling a substrate tray a 'casing', etc.

Thank you, RR. You are the boss here. As far as moisture is considered, I poured water under the cakes (like if they were sitting on a saucer). The mycelium seemed dry anyway, maybe I started pouring too late. The light was getting in through a relatively small portion of the box. It used to shine directly on the box about 4 hours a day. There was indirect sunlight during the rest of the day.
(there is a platform above the foil)
I'll case both my "flat cakes", because now I found out that veils of all the mushrooms are torn, so I picked them (up). I will also have to restructure my incufruiting box, because it is not made for casings, there is not enough space for that (see my other thread if interested).
