Best annual EDM / rave event?

This summer I really want to party... I'm already going to go to the Oregon Country Fair and Burning Man, but I'd love to hit up a big rave type of event. I'm thinking about doing Shambhala in BC (which seems to be more focused on psytrance and dubstep), and possibly Bal en Blanc in Montreal (more mainstream EDM mostly). Are these good events? Are there any other ones I should check out?

You have no idea, the soul is represented in the crowd at a rave and it is a damn astonishing thing when properly orchestrated. You obviously haven't every been to a proper rave.

To the OP if you're ever around the UK around mid July come to Glade, tis a wicked festival. Best days of my life have been spent at glade.

I would recommend the Detroit Electronic Music Festival aka DEMF, which takes place over memorial day weekend. I go every year. It's 3 days, plus a dozen afterparties every night--pretty much a 24/7 endless series of parties from Friday night until Tuesday.


There's no trance though, which is one of the reasons I go :borg:

It's rather affordable as well.

i would defiantly check out underground sound(rave in a cave) shits sick 3 nigts dj sets from noon to six every night and the sound stage in a cave making a perfect naturally occurring amphitheater. w/ camping on sight always a good event
