I'm gonna travel across the country this spring.

I started thinking to myself a few weeks ago about my current situation and how things are going for me in life, and I decided that this April I would take off and travel across the country.  I figure I'll head out of Reno to Big Sur, CA, then up the coast to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, then I'll kind of snake my way down and around through Montana and Colorado, then I figure I'll either head down south or over to Wisconsin, But I do want to see the Florida Keys.  I would love to have thrown Alaska into the mix, but it'll be too early in the season and I won't have the money to do that, nor do I have a passport (though it would be nice to get one).  Though with a DUI i don't think I can go to Canadia... :frown:


Anyway, one thing I was wondering is what is there to do in the spring?  I'm big into photography, and one of my main reasons for going on roadtrips is to photograph stuff.  What should my goal be for the spring?


Anyone else up for roadtrips?

Ya, definitely. I've seriously been considering hitching cross-country (I'm on the east coast, so westward) for spring break. Just to get away from here, clear my head, and do photography as well. Just not sure one week will suffice, so it might be a summer thing.

Any links to your photography?

I dunno what to do during spring is the problem.  Fall is awesome, harvests, fruits and veggies, colorful foliage, etc.  Spring I dunno.

I'm considering going to canada or wherever the road takes me for some 1 on 1 time with myself.
Or grab a friend and go find out where life takes us. :yesnod:
but that's gonna be awhile. Probably not spring break, probably more like summer.

I'll still be on the road come this summer.  I'm going to travel all over the country, not just the coast.  I want to see maine too.  :smile:

Spring is the most beautiful season IMO. The feeling of everything coming alive and the fresh smells of grass and new plants (whatever they are. I just want to point to the ground and say those things). Trees also look VERY beautiful with bright green baby leaves on them. Also there's nothing like seeing ferns still in their spiral shape waiting to unfurl.



Spring also reminds me of the Norse gods because of the strong birth/fertility vibe characteristic of Frey and Freyja
