Alright what cartoon is this?

It's from when I was a kid, so probably made in the late 80's and aired on TV in the 90's.  Most of it took place in mines or caves of some kind, and it was a bunch of little gnomes or some fantasy characters that mined crystals or something.  They had little animals that would help them and talk to them and stuff, and there was a bad guy trying to come steal the gems or ore or whatever for something.  (Think Smurfs but in a crystal mine)


Someone else has to remember something about this cartoon!  At least something that'll help me narrow shit down on google because I'm getting nothing.

No I'm almost positive it wasn't fraggle rock.  That was my initial thought too but I distinctly remember this being a cartoon.  I can picture little animated carts on a railroad track full of gold or crystals or something.

I was gonna suggest David the Gnome but I think that was more him healing animals and stuff and not mining.

yo what was that one show where it was like a mannequin...  and he would come to life, but only at night?  and he like, knew a girl or something.  and he wore this red british derby hat.  does anyone remember that show?

also there was this one claymation show where there were vegetables dancing in this studio in the dark in the middle of the night, and this little girl wandered in and found them.  i dun remember anything else about that tho.

That's the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon.  The whole show is available on torrent somewhere. 

I actually went through all these suggestions before even making this post.  Fraggle Rock and David the Gnome were my first ideas but it's definitely not them.  Coming up totally blank here though.  I can rule things out but I haven't seen anything to help me figure out what it was.

Nah it's definitely not the Hobbit, I would have put two and two together on that one eventually.  I remember an animated Hobbit movie but that wasn't it... was that an older series or something?

It's not much to go on. I can't recall any show with that specific theme. If you think of anything else I'll add it to the search.

Was the animation style comparable to anything else?

:lol: I've seen episodes of Bible Black and it's got nothing to do with what I listed :lol:

Like I said originally, I'm thinking it was a kid oriented show, much like the smurfs but the little characters weren't blue and they were miners that filled up carts with crystals or ore or something.  And they had little animal friends that would come help them.
