because a lot of them are either drunk, on opiates, or cranky because their lives suck
the happy ones have a bangin life and do all the happy drugs like weed, mdma, and lsd

It's easy to be an asshole when there are usually no repercussions. But usually the ones who are assholes all the time are assholes in real life and are on self destructive path.

Well, a lot of them tried drugs to make their lives happy, it didn't work, and now they are unhappy drug addicts. :shrug:

I also think that there's more awareness and less self-denial of the true state of the world and so that has to be calculated in.
