Where can i find a accurate scale w/o having to buy one off the net.

I'm looking for an accurate scale that weights down to the gram/milligram accurately, but i don't want to purchase one off the internet, i have gone to walmart, they had a postal scale but it wasn't accurate, i went to sears, and couldn't find anything. i went to raidoshack at the mall too.

does anyone have any suggestions?

Down to the milligram is very accurate. That narrows it down to just the internet really. It's going to be hard to find a scale that precise at any local store. For obvious reasons. Go to a jewelry or diamond place. They use scales to weigh out gems. About the only place that would have a milligram scale. I doubt they would have one for sale though. :shrug:

I doubt you would find a digital scale that weighed to the milligram at a headshop. Maybe if it was a triple beam balance.

Scales are not illegal to own, so, why not just order one online?

You obviously haven't walked into a head shop lately...all of my locals have scales ranging in price from 15-150$ based on size really, and concealment, thats a big factor. Down here a sale is a paraphernalia charge so concealment is key.

i had a few sets up for grabs recently in the marketplace (check the archives).....i had deals worked out for them but apparently NO ONE,..who contacted me actually really wanted to trade when it came down do it.

anyone whose been here awhile knows the marketplace is not what it once was.....the time they are changin':foshizzle:

ok that's a great idea--  but I gotta tell ya, the best deal I ever found on a scale was from a home cooking store called 'viking home cooking' and they had a digital kitchen scale for under $30 that had a build in bowl-shaped platform and weighed accurately down to .01g

so I'd say check the local cooking stores and then go buy one on ebay if you can find one there
