Pumpkin Carving Ideas

I'm trying to figure out what to carve, So far this is the coolest I've seen:

It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus.
All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter, while the
octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV.
But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns.
Also he got a race car.
Is any of this getting through to you?

That's awesome!  I wish I'd thought of that. 

I would probably just buy two or three and cut them all in half horizontally set them up on stick making a pumpkin mushroom patch.  But hey, that what the mind of the amateur mycologist thinks up.

Heh, a mushkin patch sounds pretty neat. I decided to do something like that picture, Ima be pissed when some punk smashes it lol

You could go patternistic. Get down with some sacred geometry.

Seriously though... I drew the pattern on the fly with a compass, then carved it out with some simple wood carving tools.
