There's always somebody that takes it too far.  Seriously, this guy should have learnt a useful skill like guitar or something, how the fuck can you be this good at Tetris?

That's just straight ri-god-damn-diculous.  It's like he's going too fast for the pieces...can the game keep up?  You'd expect it to just start beeping at you like a keyboard when you type too many keys at a time.

Yeah, that's the really impressive part. He probably doesn't even look at the blocks while he's playing normally.. just kind of glances and forms a memory pattern of what he's going to build it like, and is most likely just watching the blocks that are coming.. thinking 2 or 3 steps ahead. TETRIS MASTER

This bring up an interesting question.
Do the blocks fall randomly or in the same order each time you play?

And 1/2 way through I was wondering if he was asian by the way he used the joystick, all asians I've played in arcades always held the controls weird (maybe better)

not such a thing in a self contained system, it has to figure this randomness based off of an algorithm.  yeah, its still 'random' in the common sense of the word and gameplay, but still not truly random.

I would throw an idea out that perhaps it is because their society (Japanese society in particular) is quite rigidly structured with a big emphasis on mental discipline and quite intensive education by our standards.. thus leading them (on average) to excel at logistical-engineering endeavors and pwn noobs in Starcraft.

Have you guys seen "King of Kong"?? One of the best films, and it deals with stuff like this, I juts don't know if Tetris falls in with it.
