need a free virus protection program

my mcafee program just ran out yesterday and i am having to be tight with my money this month....i need something that i can use until i can get 70$ extra for the program....any suggestions or ideas???

As suggested, AVG. And get rid of the Mcafee - it's as bad as Norton.

i tried antivir recently, and otehr than the large advertisement it shows when you update, I liked it more than AVG.  I used AVG for years and years before that, but the newest version of AVG sucked...

yeah, i wouldn't pay anything for antivirus unless its being used for a business and need some sort of support or something...especially McAfee
