can pure juice ferment on its own?...

A while back i bought a jug of white grapefruit juice for purposes of potentiating opiates but never touched it..

Now today I opened it and it "burped" so to speak and has a carbonated taste to it now which reminds me of homemade hooch
so i guess my question is is it turning into hooch?
I should add its 100% juice no sugar added, 
should i add sugar to help it kick?

I'm just curious as its sitting here so might as well make use of it:justdontknow:

Juice should always be kept capped in the fridge.

Just dump some brewer's yeast into it next time, and in a short while you'll have some tasty grapefruit beer! :argh:

I once had one of them disaronno bottles in my room, filled with orange juice. It was standing in the windowsill until one day I got a call from my dad (I was at a friend's) that something in my room had exploded. The glass of these bottles is pretty thick and the shards had actually destroyed a window and left pretty deep dents in the wooden wall panels. So yeah, stuff will ferment, I can assure you.
