Who play that wanky as fuck chart music with that fucking anoying housesque beat deserve to be hung from their testicles.

How the fuck can they even call that mixing... most of the time they just wait for the end of the song say some shit through the mic and then play the other track. I can't believe I payed money to see this sort of shit.

Why does no club play decent 'underground' electronic music... its all wanky as fuck :crankey:.

If you're one of these 'DJs', please kill youself.

I went to a dubstep / dnb night the other night and due to popular demand the dj was forced to play that sort of wank... After I hounded him for an hour or 2 he layed down one of the best dubstep mixes I've heard (and I've seen caspa & rusko, benga and skream). He was mixing on 1210s and was scratching the shit out dubstep... I ain't never heard anything like it .

I think the problem is that people don't listen to enough electronic music to realize what brilliant shit there is out there and therefore demand that housey / trancey pop wank.

When he was playing that dubstep the nearly empty dance floor filled up and everyone (most, if not all were average young people) was wobbling .

haha
I have one dubstep record, "Throw some D's"/"Big Killaz" by Parson (Planet-Mu Records)

dubstep is dope.  (emulates a bassline) :bwowww wowww bwub bwowwww wowww wowwwww:
don't know if I could appreciate it for hours though.

I definitely couldn't deal with house that long; those "house music all night long" days are OVER.

He had little paper things & pens at the front of his podium thing... Also as soon as anything half decent came on the dance floor would start to empty...

It wasn't at a massive venue either... If I ever found myself at one of those ibiza style clubs I'd probably have to hang myself .

The club I was just at was absolutely fucking atrocious.. I mean I payed good money to get in... I bought 2 drinks, then had to roll a spliff and walk home.. I was there for about an hour. I had to come home, get high and mix some dubstep & breaks to chill the fuck out.

That club sounds really amateur.

I guess it depends on how you define amateur...

I've been to a few squat parties before in abandoned factories in the grimey ghettos of London and Bristol and they have been much more 'professional' than any club I've ever been in... In these sort of the places the DJs are racking out k on their mixers.

I saw OTT at one of these squats, in Bristol, he had a can of cider in one hand and a spliff in his mouth  and his pioneer CDj's set up on one of those fold up tables. He was even 'talking' to people too... Despite playing the best chillout mix I've ever heard in my life .

Exactly. A club could be super fancy and have all the best equipment but still be amateur. Im of course talking about the people knowing what they're doing in terms of throwing a party and laying down good music. The dj can be super friendly but taking requests is laughable. I mean this isnt a wedding, he should be the one to know what needs to be played. Also, i envy you having seen OTT. I wish he'd come down here sometime.

Well after I complained about the lack of dubstep at this dubstep / dnb night he played one of the best dubstep sets I've ever heard, with respect to mixing ability, track selection and overall full on dark as fuck wobbliness.

And I've seen 'professionals' live too (though tbh, benga live was unbelievably dark, twisted, wonky and 'tribal').

The initial problem was probably with the club imposing their rules on him.
