Plenty of EASY TO PREPARE(key) food, beverages. I like to bring baby wipes, or Cetaphil cleanser(because you don't need to rinse it off, just wipe off with a moist rag) to keep myself clean.

Good attitude and open mind(key).

Baby wipes are always good.

Most of the essentials have been listed.  Hat, definitely.  Flashlight.

Foodwise, I like to pre-cook my meals.  Boil a couple boxes of pasta (for example) and pack them into bags + a jar of sauce = quick, quality hot meals.

A large cube of mixed nuts is also excellent, fast, lasting nutrition\energy.  Get one without peanuts, they're a waste of space and you might already be eating PBJs.

My camelback saved my life at Rothbury, super awesome hands-free water.

Also, if you're not carrying in, bring a bowl and a lighter.  Someone will always forget these and then you've got a friend

Edit:  oh yea-- even though its July\August, do not neglect to bring a sleeping bag and\or blankets.  It gets cold at night!

Bring more money than you expect to spend.  You don't wanna run out of money and the ATM lines are unbelievable, like hours long.

On top of everything else I always bring my own music.  Festivals usually have a bunch of great music.  But it never hurts.

It definitely won't hurt.  Just keep in mind, you will most certainly lose/break stuff.  Don't bring anything your not ok with coming back without.
