My wife came into some money and is takeing me on a cruise of my choice.
Where the hell do I go?
I have never been on a cruise.

Yea one of the cruises she mentioned was a Mexican deal.
The only reason I would go on a cruise is because for 1
its free and 2 food.
I dig smoking a big fatty and eating.
Please enlighten me on how bad cruises are and why
I am interested.
If they suck then maybe I can sway the idea.

Central america is the place to go for Cheap,adventure vacation. I stress the word adventure depending on how much you wanna spend.

it can be a lazy paradise or a wild adventure all depending on how much money you wanna spend,and how you wanna plan.

Go the adventure route, it basically changed my life.

You'll hate it. They herd your around like cattle at disneyland.

You have 3 hours a this port,maybe a few more at another, back on the boat, sit here eat this...etc etc.

Worst way to vacation,ever.



Get dropped off in a country,and some light flexible plans, and just go. it'll be the best thing you ever did.

you wont do any of that on a cruise. At least not at your own time and leisure.

much of central America and Europe have extensive travelers networks. Get in them, find the good hostels, the good local taxi,etc services and go from there.


We did 10 days backpacking from one side of Costa Rica to the other,with basically so set plans. Barring our bus almost going off a bridge,and other awesomely hairy moments it went amazing.

Total cost without plan tickets: like 6-7 bucks if I remember right.

and that's Spending some extra money in places....and TONS of imperial( beer). We were completely free to do as we pleased.

Screw that boat and all the tourist herding
Im going to pick a place and have them drop my ass off
in the middle of nowhere and have a good time.
If I eat a 1/2 oz before I get on the plane that should start things off to a good start.

i tell every traveler this because ive been all over the place.


go to Ibiza, Spain.  its a none stop party and the land is beautiful.  the people are friendly and all speak english. 

the food is amazing too.  check it out.
