Mental images - do you get them and what are they like?

Once, when the Shroomery had downtime, I had a mental image of Ythan covered in engine grease with a huge blunt in his mouth, lying underneath a huge diesel fumes spewing machine thats the Shroomery server, cussing, yanking at a torque wrench and welding trying to get it fixed for us.

I'm prone to getting mental images when a situation presents itself to me, and usually the initial mental images are freakin hilarious. It often defies all description but shit is so funny sometimes I chuckle, at times inappropriately.

Its basically my brain throwing me a hilarious split-second screensaver to keep me entertained while the rest of my brain looks for a more serious and more probable answer.

My mental images very often have absurdistic hilarious themes. Aside from entertaining they often give me interesting ideas I can latch onto to tackle a problem at hand.

Those his images often have a cruel twist and mine do not, I find much recognition in Cyriak's Animation Mix:





Split-second mental images.. Do you have them and what are they like? How vivid are they? Is there emotional content?

When ever I close my eyes, I have a seemingly nonstop movie going on the back of my eyelids. :shrug: I think everyone does to some degree.

Whenever my family used to go on long car rides, I would create a character in my mind who would skateboard alongside our car the whole way.  It was actually kind of surprising that if I tried to make him swerve in and out of the dashed lines in the middle of the highway, I would never be able to make him keep up with the car.  It appears fossil fuels are more powerful than my imagination :lol:
