WTF is this (google maps)

Im pretty sure it' a UFO launch pad, or possibly the governments surplus bee storage unit. Seriously anyone know what this is, it looks like each ring is 7 or 8 football fields across.

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with growing crops in a dry climate, irrigation.

those are plots of land
circulerly tilled so they can be watered easily
also you can do crop rotation very easily with circular plots

those are called crops.

there are gigantic watering things that move around it. thats why theyre round. the watering thing circles around the middle.

Yep, they have an irrigation system that is a big long thing that pivots around a central hub.

As others have said, crop fields. An irrigation "arm" extends from the center of the circle to the edge. The arm sweeps around the circle (think of a radar display in old movies), fixed at the center, to water the field.

Its harder to see from this view, but these gigantic sprinklers circle around a center point watering the field. I have seen many of these in my day.
