Cannabis leaf statue...something to look at.

The leaf stands 18" high and 15" wide.
The pedestal is 3" wide and 8" long.

I built this myself from a sheet of 3/4" MDF.
You guys think I could sell something like this on ebay for $19.95 US ?

I have lots of MDF and lots of time ATM so WTF.
What do ya guys think?

The leaf is attached to pedestal by one screw and is easily 'flat packed' for shipping.

how heavy is it?

I can see that as a quintessential stoner household item, either standing on floor/table/tv or hanging on the wall. I don't know what MDF is, but a wall-mount option would be good depending on how heavy it is.

I'd say $15 is a good price, but if you're serious about it, you should do a more detailed analysis on the time it takes to make one, the cost of the materials, and figure out what it costs to make per unit (materials + time), then figure out how much to sell it.

I think $15 would be a reasonable price, but i don't know anything about the materials its composed of so I'm not a viable source.

i think even 15 maybe a bit steep. looks like you could make you own with a jigsaw real quick. but it does look like a quality job.

MDF is a very stable man made wood product. What I mean by stable is that it does not expand or shrink as much as a real piece of wood does.
MDF is heavier than plywood of the same dimension. 3/4 inch thick. At least thats the only thickness available here. I don't know the exact weight of the MDF but I can pick up and carry a 3/4 inch sheet of plywood(4 x 8 feet) by my self and I have trouble doing the same with a 4 x 8 foot sheet of MDF.

Thanks guys...its finished both sides so it doesn't matter which way you loot at it...the 3/4" MDF gives it a 'real thick leaf effect' kinda 3D.
It only weighs a couple pounds...so it can easily be wall hung by removing the pedestal.

I'm thinking $18.95 US + shipping...how much of that will ebay take for me being a seller?

Never sold on ebay.

I don't know anything about e-bay, but out of curiosity, how many patterns can you get out of a single sheet of MDF? If you are able to get 3 or more than you will be able to make a nice profit. You might want to check into getting a "small business" license so that you don't get into trouble with the tax people, especially if you end up selling a whole lot of them.

I can get 15 patterns out of a single sheet of MDF.
Looking on ebay at other cannabis related items and their lack of sales, I dont think i'd sell many.
