Six arrested in bust facing trafficking, possession charges

REGINA -- Six people appeared in custody at Regina Provincial Court on Monday after an intensive RCMP investigation into alleged cocaine and ecstasy trafficking operations in Regina.
The six are facing charges for trafficking, possession of drugs and possession of the proceeds of crime.
After their appearances in court, the suspects -- five men and one woman -- were remanded in custody until later this week. All the suspects are residents of Regina.

The arrests followed a string of searches conducted by the Regina Integrated Drug Unit in the past few days. Nine of the searches took place at locations in Regina, and one at Saskatchewan Beach.
The RCMP says the bust was part of a nine-month undercover investigation which involved multiple drug transactions and led to the seizure of 113 ounces of cocaine, 2,000 ecstasy capsules and eight ounces of powdered ecstasy, as well as a number of vehicles.
The RCMP says the bust disrupted several cocaine trafficking cells and one ecstasy trafficking operation in Regina.
Though based primarily in Regina, the investigation branched out to Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, and the RCMP says more arrests are expected "in the near future."
Staff Sgt. Doug Hardy said investigation is ongoing, and more information about the busts may be coming out later this week.
Delwin Miller, 41, is charged with two counts of trafficking, and one count of possession of the proceeds of crime.
Robert McCallom, 35, is charged with one count of trafficking and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Ton Chi Tran, 28, faces five counts of trafficking, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and four counts of possessing the proceeds of crime.
Andrew Rittman, 25, faces three counts of trafficking and two counts of possessing the proceeds of crime, and Trent Wilton, 22, is charged with four counts of trafficking, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and two counts of possession of the proceeds of crime.
The female suspect, 28-year-old Michelle Leader, faces one count of trafficking.
