Sex offender wins 10 million dollar lotto.

http://www.thebostonchannel.com/mostpopular/15264847/detail.html

UXBRIDGE, Mass. -- A convicted Level 3 sex offender has won $10 million in the Massachusetts State Lottery.

The Worcester Gazette & Telegram reports 56-year-old Daniel Snay, of Uxbridge, could now face charges because he failed to notify authorities that he had moved, according to Connecticut State Police.

“I’m flabbergasted,” Connecticut State Police Lt. Paul Vance told the Telegram. “His whereabouts, until you told me about this, have been unknown to us. But I guess you could say he’s very fortunate.”

Snay works driving trucks for a yacht dealership in Mendon. He won the $10 million from a $20 scratch ticket purchased at Cumberland Farms in Hopedale.

But the lottery winnings also come with unwanted publicity.

“He was concerned, but there’s not much you can do about it,” said Snay’s lawyer Joseph M. Fabricotti. “We talked about it and he understood this was one of the repercussions that could happen.”

Snay’s record of sexual assaults dates back to 1974. He has been convicted six times of indecent assault and battery in Massachusetts. Level 3 offenders are considered the most dangerous and the most likely to commit another crime.

One time someone said that the bad shit happening to me was someone's good karma. I think that's ridiculous considering i go out of my way to be good to people. Ever since then, i question it.

Man is timid and apologetic; he is no longer upright; he dares not say "I think," "I am," but quotes some saint or sage. He is ashamed before the blade of grass or the blowing rose.Man postpones or remembers; he does not live in the present, but with reverted eye laments the past, or, heedless of the riches that surround him, stands on tiptoe to foresee the future. He cannot be happy and strong until he too lives with nature in the present, above time

He's a sex offender, it didn't say he was a pederast. Maybe now he can just pay to beat hookers?

Tsk tsk... have we learned nothing from the age-old fable of Cartman and the amusement park?

This man will obviously lose all his money and be even more miserable then if he had never had it at all.

:tongue2:

The crime of indecent assault and battery occurs when the offender, without the victim's consent, intentionally has physical contact of a sexual nature with the victim. This contact may include an offender touching a woman's breasts, or the buttocks or genital area of a man or woman.

Yeah, he's a terrible person

Don't you karma police have real criminals to be worried about?

Karma isn't about rewards and punishment, it's about positive versus negative energy generated by one's actions, in oneself. So if you're being kind to others with the expectation of some improvement in your life situation, you're missing the point. Who or what is it that would reward you, anyway?

I will not fear my passions like a coward.
My body I will give to pleasures,
to diversions that I’ve dreamed of,
to the most daring erotic desires,
to the lustful impulses of my blood, without
any fear at all, for whenever I will—
and I will have the will, strengthened
as I’ll be with contemplation and study—
at the crucial moments I’ll recover
my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

lololol, what a hilarious life lesson.

Money can't solve all your problems. Him running away is only going to help more people notice what a dick that guy is.

so karma is real because people say it's real?

karma works if you believe in it. it's watered-down Christianity.

Completely untrue.

Besides the fact that the concept of karma predates Christ....

Christianity is concerned with meting out just rewards after we die, based on the merits of our life.

Karma is concerned with just outcomes throughout our life.

I don't care if you don't believe in karma, but that doesn't make it Christian.

Sounds kind of dogmatic.  What is the difference between this conception of universal law and the idea that God rewards the righteous and damns the sinners, aside from degree?

Also, "trust me" is not really an effective argument.

Hindu karma may work that way, Buddhist karma is simple cause and effect. Amoral and without compassion. That's why buddhists are supposed to be nice. because life keeps on sucking if there's no one to soften the blows of karma.

Hippy karma is whatever you need it to be to support your beliefs at the time.
