One time I went and saw Bob Dylan with my Ma

He was playing before Bob Weir and Ratdog (I think. It was some Dead related band, that's for sure, and I don't know why he would be opening for anyone else besides Weir.) She loved Dylan, the only person I ever heard her voluntarily listen to. I wish I could find her collection of bootlegs and shit.

Anyway, we went to see Dylan, I was real young, it was my first time seeing him. After he was done we left, because my mom had absolutely no interest in seeing the next act (she taught me well :smirk:) so she gave our tickets away to two Deadheads outside. They were the epitome of hippy, even then I understood that, and they tried to hug us. My mom didn't let them. I laughed. It still makes me laugh.

dylan fucking destroys

i have watched him perform several times

one time i saw him playing a keyboard for most the show,
it was really muddy sounding, extremely lousy indoor acoustics,
but dylan did not care
he fucking hammered the whole set out without a flinch of care,
the guy knows how to rock out better then most
