Just finished setting up our private server..last step will be to get the dynamic IP address from the ISP provider and host it on my LAN connection.

Wondering if any of you play WoW and would like to play on a "Shroomery" Private Server =)

I'd like to maybe devote it to Roleplaying, just because it makes the game fun rather then a endless leveling up sorta thing..

If your interested, PM me the account name and pass you wish to use and I'll add it to the server's database, then when it's up and running in a few days I'll let you all know and we can get on and host it.

We'll be needing some GM's as well so apply if interested and if you have experience.



Note: Don't bother flaming me about WoW and how gay it is..I know I said the same thing since it came out....until I found out how to cheat Blizzard out of my $14.95 a month. :grin:

Download the free 10 day trial give it a whorl..


Although you cant edit realmlist to play on a private server without purchasing the actual game. Blizzard won't let you get off totally free.

Battlechest (Original and Xpansion) is 40$

Just the original is 20$

Rofl...well the free trial can be found below..

However, like I said, to play on the private server (our server) you must have a retail copy of the game installed and not the trial version..


Unless you can crack the serial code on the trial version and thus gain permittance to the realmlist.wtf file in order to change the realm your connecting to...

However this is very illegal and I doubt anyone here would be able to do it as Blizzard is really good at stopping such things...

I quit playing WoW quite some time ago cause I was tired of paying and couldn't find any private servers I liked. Is your server fairly glitch-free? And do you have to have Burning Crusades to play on it? I havn't played since BC came out so I don't know how that works out.

BC is not required and as of now we're completely glitch free..

Thats primarily due to the fact that we havent changed much yet tho..


We're just modding items and graphics for now and once everything is runnign smoothly we'll be hosting the server from a permanent IP, at which time I will announce the IP for you to play on.

Like I said, I'd like to have the server dedicated to Roleplay, as I'm sure we're all sick of just killing monsters and leveling up like in all the other MMO's.


Yesterday I made a legendary fish weapon for kicks..So my character dual wields fish for weapons..lol

I'll be making new mounts as well as adding in some graphics from a few of my projects.

That you have a good sense of RPing.

It will be primarily a RP PVP server and we will probably organize events to take place or scenarios.

Like we will plot a story and you can all take place in it and it will take place on certain days/times.

How do those private servers work? How much are you able to change, as far as game play goes? I played WoW for a few months until I got tired of the repetitive questing system, but an RP server with modifications may be a laugh. Do you think we'd be able to get enough people to make it a fun place to play? (eg: instances, auctions, etc)

I will be Horde, of course.

And you can really change the entire game if you are experienced enough..

You can implement your own graphics and make your own mounts, items, sounds, really whatever you want..you just need the knowledge of how to do it.

Cool thing is I or my friend can GM the plot of an adventure and you guys act as the chars...we would be able to give you any skill you needed and set your level to make gameplay more fun and RP more in depth.

I could fly along side you as a bird to narrate the adventure and then assign macros so I can change shape to look like an NPC at the push of a button..

That way I can take on the form of the NPC and answer your questions/do ingame stuff as the NPC ect..


It will be like good old Dungeouns and Dragons only without lame miniatures..lol now we have 3d graphics.

And no Dice! Woohoo!
