Wild passion flower found in GA(PICS!)
    #672076 - 06/10/02 04:01 PM (21 years, 10 months ago)

I actually found this beautiful flower a few months ago on some property my father owns that I work at, I have been trying to identify it with no sucsess until today. I've read a good bit on passion flower before but never actually saw a picture of it, I was suprised when my mystery flower turned out to be passion flower. Anyways, here are a few pics of cuttings I took home with me a week ago, they flowered while in a cup of water rooting.

Such a beautiful flower...

beautiful passiflora! it looks like p. incarnata but it has thinner/narrower leaves than usual... it gives a sour fruit, right? it's said to contain beta carbolines also...

We used to have a vine like that growing in our backyard. I loved popping the seed pods... Wonder where that vine went?

I found some wild passiflora incarnata in TX right around where I live... I have been making tea and smoking the leaves... it is a great potentiator for tryptamines.

LOL, wow. threads should be locked after theyve been on so long, for research purposes only.

Put the power back in the peoples' hands by ending this nanny-state.

better to have brought up an old thread than to have started a new one.

from what you've read, right?

i don't think i've heard of a single person finding this to actually be the case.

I think Passiflora could be an MAOI...

If large amounts of plant material are used...

But it is best if used in conjuction with B. caapi or other MAOIs to be a sufficent potentiator for tryptamines.

It does contain desirable chemicals, including THH.

I would prefer it over syrian rue any day.

Actually, yes... from what I have read. But given that passiflora incarnata contains beta-carboline alkaloids (which act as MAOI's) I'm pretty sure science backs up my statement.
