i decided to go to the cheap epiphone route rather than a squier for my first guitar, and i think i made the right choice. those things can't stay in tune for the length of a song...

I've never had any problems with my squier... other than I think the pickup needs to be replaced.

I'm trying to be good and not buy a new electric guitar...

But I get paid tomorrow and only have my $60 insurance payment out of it.

I don't know what to get...

I kinda want to stick to fender and get a real strat... but I dunno, I'll have to look around and see what's out there and what sounds good.

I've self taught myself for the past 6/7 years but I think I've gotten as far as I'll get alone so I started lessons... I think once I can actually start to really play well I'll reward myself with a new electric.

just get a standard strat. the cheapest model will be leaps and bounds better than the squier, and really only putt you back 3-400 and its worth every penny.


I saw you post a couple weeks ago about giving a mouse a cookie and stereo equipment. If youd be willing to spend that much cash on equipment to listen to music, why not spend a fraction of that and get a nice, well made tool for creating music.

plus if you keep it nice a good guitar is something that can ge passed down as an heirloom.

yeah...

I'm really a drummer at heart... played those since 6th grade, was a percussionist in band and all that jazz. but with constrictions of living in apartments and roommates, it's hard to have a kit, for space and noise.

one day I'll have my own house with a whole big room just for music. Might even buy a cheap bass just to complete the set lol

do that. i love having somewhere where you can be that loud. My buddy just moved to a place not far from me and there is a set there. He invites all sorts of cool musicians over to jam. Recently he invited this dude over and it just clicked. I cant wait to start writing music with this guy OMG.

i cant believe this guy is in our band now.
