The only complaints that I have about people running nitrous tanks in lots and festival scenes are: a) People are really inconsiderate of the land and just throw their balloons on the ground when they're done. This causes a virtual ground zero look that is just ridiculous, because somebody has to clean it up. and b) Selling it in lots affects the vendors that are actually trying to sell something that you can take home and have as a great memento of their time at a show/festival.

Don't get me wrong, I like to do nitrous on occasion. I don't thi nk there's anything wrong with moderate use of it. I just frown at what it's doing to the scene surrounding great music. It really puts a damper on the "Shakedown" scene to the point where something's got to give to bring back the community feel and vibe that used to be beautiful and vibrant. Now, it has a hurried, money hungry feel that I do not like at all. It takes away from the good feeling that comes with just being around like minded individuals that enjoy each other's
company. That's just my opinion, but I stand by it 100%.

At every show that I can, I will go up to people and politely ask them if they will just please throw their balloons in the trash, or at least put them in their pocket to throw away later. It's not too much to ask, I don't think. Do you?

i get this real weird feeling when i see a shakedown over run with drunk wook types all surounding a cracker or tank. this past year at Oregon country fair was pretty bad. actualt saw some dude puking while trying to hit some n2o

That's not at all what I'm saying. Let me give you an example. At new years in Atlanta this last year, these kids were running tanks in this one lot where there was a pretty big shakedown with alot of chill vendors that let them do their thing. Well, the tanks brought heat which is common and the cops shut down all of the legit vendors, saying that they couldn't be there. So, the vendors were forced to move to another spot where the cops wouldn't fuck with them. All the while, you can hear the tanks getting started up in the next lot, where they eventually got those vendors shut down, as well. They don't give a fuck about anybody or anything but themselves and their pocket.
I'm all about survival of the fittest, but don't push other people down to better yourself. That's bad business. Period.

damn straight. personlay i dont enjoy the lot n2o fasade at all. i never partake. usualy cus i have my own and it is just dirtty feeling


ever seen that one part in the movie "tie died" when that hippy dude is ranting and screaming at that fat new yorker n2o salesman telling him he is courupting the kids and destroying the ozone layer (wich is not even tru :wink: )

The kids corrupt themselves. I don't blame the mafia for people's decisions. I just would like to see some measure of respect from them. Respect the people you do business around. That's all.

Hey what's the best brand for our purposes?  We always got the EZ-Whips because thats what they sold at the head shop...but it seems like e-bay is the only place I can find them now..:mad:

Get a dispenser. Then you can also use it for whipped cream and it doesn't immediately look like drug paraphernalia if someone notices it.

They're available at Bed Bath and Beyond, Linens and Things, those kind of stores, so are the actual whippets.

ez is not that great of a brand.

but thats all they have up here in oregon.

isi are some of the cleanest. That's what I've used.

I actualyl dont like doing a lot of nitrous... I will do a box in a night, when im tripping. Its just so intense when youre already tripping.


I did take B12 but actually I believe (just my opinion not really scientific) that people mistakenly think that just because too much nitrous causes similar side effects as a B12 deficiency that taking B12 will prevent this. It couldn't hurt but I don't think it's that simple. Nitrous shouldn't be overused but I'm not one with a right to preach since I'm so guilty of abuse.
