I was googling how many MeV's a neutron needs to transform nitrogen into carbon and tritium, because I wondered whether deuterated ammonia could sustain lean DT fusion without initial fast neutrons from plutonium fission.

But anyway I landed on an answers.yahoo page where the question "why is the sun hot" was answered with "because it's on fire dumbass".

Fortunately answers.yahoo provides a home to wikipedia rejects. What a sad source of information.

The only reasonable thing I've found on there was a guy replying to the strychnine stuff by saying that the handful of chemists who make it don't do it for money but do it because they feel they've got a higher calling and anyone who knows about chemistry and the painful process of making it wouldn't cut such corners.
