Illnesses.

This winter has produced more illnesses than I have seen in a long time. Just about everybody that I know has gotten sick since the weather turned cold. Everything from the flu to common colds that are stronger than normal. Also, there have been stomach viruses and strep throat going around. What's the deal? I have noticed that there are alot of commercials for Airborne and Emergen-C this year. Just thinking out loud(sort of).

Fruit, fruit and more fruit.

I eat 6 - 8 pieces a day... I haven't been sick in ~7 - 8 years, not even a simple common cold.

Also get plenty of sleep.

i havent gotten sick this year yet except a small cold. Im hoping i can hold off i get the flu really bad like once every 2 years.

Emergen-c is actually pretty good. I had some after new years and it tastes great and made me feel great after drinking all night.

I use emergen-c all of the time, but it did no good against the strain of cold that I got. New years celebrations and various chemicals didn't help, either.

Seriously though, I've noticed it too, not the commercials, but the many people who have gotten sick lately and nearly all in the same time span.

They work, to an extent. The thing is that only very little nutrients are actually absorbed from multi-vitamins. They are simply not the same as organic whole foods for their lack of essential enzymes. Therefore fruit FTW.

I blame small children.

Both of my bosses have kids in daycare and both bosses are sick...ALL THE TIME. In the past two months, my direct boss has been sick at least five times, sometimes colds overlapping eachother. I finally got sick a week ago from him and am just now feeling 90%.

Yea I know it fucking sucks, i have a stomach virus and a cold..my insides feel like shit and I got a headahe..i have a hard time eating much right now.

I got bronchitis and got to visit the hospital again after an unsuccessful fight with the flu.

Luckily I spread the virus to the entire family. This would have been avoidable if it hadn't have been Christmas when I fell deathly ill.

I'm really tired of being sick all the time. I don't know what I'd do if I had a boss with kids. I probably wouldn't be able to go to work, every time I catch a cold I wind up hospitalized and on a breathing machine.

Oh damn! I never have been that sick, where i had to be in the hospital.
I love soup and food with lots of hot sauce added to it, it helps clear my lungs..i have been getting bad congestion from being sick a lot too. I dont smoke as many cigarettes anymore...but I found that smoking pot helps in many ways. Unfortunately im waiting on some, maybe tomorrow..i think most people are just staying where they are at because it is a friday night.
I just had some cup of noodles with a half teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder, I added some lime juice to the soup too, i love adding lime to certain kinds of food, epecially mexican food.
But I can breathe better, plus I am a lot warmer. :smile:
I love cayenne pepper and Habenero hot sauce the most..

Got the flu Thanks Giving Day. Thanks to my granddaughters cousin.Spent 4 day thinking I was gona die and afraid I wouldn't.Haven't been that sick in years.Got through the worst without meds. Doc was on holiday.Almost 2 weeks sick.

I live in S. Texas, when the snowbirds come they bring all kinds of sickness. Got hit by it this year.

i agree, it seems like working with the public i get sick dealing with kids and thier parents..lucky i dont get too sick..

I def got a cold recently, And so did everyone else and their momma. Ya know? I really don't mind being sick all that much. What drives me up a wall is when my nose gets stuffed up..

try having the runs from a stomach virus..oh it is so much fun, with a combonation of everything.. you sometimes think you shit normally and the next day you get the runs again...haha..i want some fucking weed. :yesnod:
